St. Walburg's Nyangao Referral Hospital is situated on the hills of the Nyangao Village, north to the border between the Lindi and Mtwara districts. Lindi district is surrounded by six other districts and all combined these have an estimated total of 1,194,028 inhabitants according to 2022 census.

Major Project

The Master Plan: Building Tomorrow’s Hospital Today

St. Walburg's Nyangao Referral Hospital at a Regional level is implementing a comprehensive hospital master plan to transform our infrastructure and services.

We are constructing modern facilities including an EMD, ICU, OPD, Radiology, Maternity and Neonatal Unit, Theatre, Wards and a Conference Centre to enhance patients' care and expand specialized services.

This Master Plan, developed by Prof. Dr. Peter Schmieg via Artemed Stiftung, serves as our blueprint for advancing healthcare excellence in the Lindi Region and beyond.
